| The Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) is recognized as one of the most important film financing platforms in Asia with many projects successfully completed and exhibited. We continue to expand the possibilities for filmmakers to promote their projects. HAF 2012 will take place from 19 to 21 March, 2012 in Hong Kong and is now open for submissions in three categories for cash awards. |

| HAF 2012 Project Entry |
| |
| Around 25 to 30 projects are selected annually to participate in HAF. One Producer and one Director will be invited to Hong Kong to present their projects during the three-day event. From 2012, HAF is also accepting non-fiction and documentary projects. Up to HK$350,000 in cash awards will be made.
The following cash awards will be made at the conclusion of HAF 2012:
HAF Award (Hong Kong Project) - HK$150,000 (approximately US$20,000) supported by the Hong Kong Film Development Fund. Winner selected by the HAF Reading Committee based on the project’s originality and creativity.
HAF Award (non-Hong Kong Project) - HK$150,000 (approximately US$20,000) supported by the Hong Kong Film Development Fund. Winner selected by the HAF Reading Committee based on the project’s originality and creativity.
Wouter Barendrecht Award - HK$50,000 (approximately US$6,500) supported by the Wouter Barendrecht Film Foundation and the Hong Kong Film Development Fund. Given to a project by a director under the age of 35, who has not directed more than three feature films. The winner will be selected by representatives of the Wouter Barendrecht Film Foundation. |

- With a proposed budget and financial plan.
- Display a high market potential for Asian and/or international market.
- Exhibit both artistic and commercial qualities.

| FOX Chinese Film Development Award |
| |
| The FOX Chinese Film Development Award aims to support Chinese-language films with an offer of a "First-Look Deal" from FOX International Productions. Five Finalists will be invited to HAF to present their projects in person to the Finalists’ Panel. The winner will receive a prize of HK$100,000. Other Finalists may also be offered a “First-Look Deal”. |

Only original works may be submitted. The applicant MUST be the copyright owner of the submitted material (Proof of chain of title is required).
- Project must be in Chinese-language or have a high possibility to be adapted into Chinese language motion picture feature.
- Project should have a high potential for production into a full length theatrical motion picture feature with artistic and commercial qualities.
- Project should have Asian or pan-Asian content.
- No financing, distribution, or sales representative attached to project.
- Project may be at any stage of development.

| HAF Script Development Fund |
| |
| The HAF Script Development Fund is set up to support young filmmakers from Chinese-speaking territories. The selected winning script will receive an award of HK$100,000. |

- The script should show originality and creativity, and high potential to be developed into a feature film for the Asian and/or international market.
- The applicant MUST be the author and/ or copyright owner of the submitted material (proof of chain of title is required).
- The applicant is not required to have made films. However if the applicant is a filmmaker, he or she should not have made more than three films as a director.
- The submitted script should be in Chinese language and with Asian content.

Remarks:
- Priority is given to new projects.
- All entries and supporting materials shall comply with the above eligibility and selection criteria.
- All entries and supporting materials should be submitted in both English and Chinese, if applicable.
- All entries must adhere to entry character limits.
- Applications missing any of the required materials will not be processed.
- Materials and information supplied will be treated as confidential and will be used by Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS) and FOX, their affiliates or designated personnel only.
- Materials submitted will not be returned.
- Decision of HKIFFS and FOX is final.
