HAF awards are presented to project filmmakers by industry supporters in recognition of their outstanding potential. In 2007 a total of seven awards will be presented, amounting to approximately HK$317,000 (US$40,600) in cash and HK$402,800 (US$51,600) value in-kind. Sponsors of the HAF 2007 awards include Hong Kong – Asia Film Financing Forum, the Rome Film Festival, Technicolor Thailand Limited and Digital Media Centre (DMC) of the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited.

Award value: Two awards of HKD100,000 [Approx. USD13,000] each
Two awards to be given to two of the 25 selected HAF projects, one from Hong Kong and one outside of Hong Kong. This Award is based on the creativity of the synopses. To be selected by the HAF Reading Committee.
